Křištálová Lupa awards the most successful projects and personalities shaping the Czech internet.
The end of November once again brought one of the most significant events in the Czech internet world. Křištálová Lupa 2024 recognized the most successful projects and personalities that shape our daily lives through the internet. PayU, a global payment solutions provider for online merchants, proudly sponsored E-commerce category this year.
This year’s Křištálová Lupa saw many strong players nominated across 17 categories, all continuously pushing the boundaries of e-commerce and rightly gaining attention on the scene. The winner of the E-commerce category was Alza.cz, and the award was received by Petr Bena, the company’s vice chairman of the board, from Martin Prunner, country manager of PayU.
Alza is synonymous with not only a wide range of products but also, above all, fast and reliable deliveries. In addition to the main e-commerce award, it also won the award for its campaign “Order by Midnight, Find in Alzabox in the Morning,” which triumphed in the Marketing and Content Inspiration category.
Two awards were also received by Simona Kijonková, the founder of Zásilkovna, who was named Personality of the Year. The sale of her successful delivery company earned the award for Project of the Year.
“Křištálová Lupa is important to me for two reasons – first, because it recognizes best practices in our business field, and secondly, because Czech e-commerce is near to my heart. Among the nominees and awardees, besides Alza and Zásilkovna, there were also dTest, Knihobot, Donio, Rohlík.cz, Kluci z Prahy, and many other names, companies, and projects that over the years have become an indispensable part of the Czech internet,” said Martin Prunner, PayU country manager for the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
For 19 years, Křištálová Lupa has awarded significant and innovative companies, initiatives, and personalities from both the private and public sectors. Among the winners are influencers, media projects, and journalists. The winners in eight categories are chosen by public voting, while the remaining nine are decided by an expert jury.
Despite this year’s theme of “the funeral of the internet” in a satirical spirit, the selection of awardees clearly demonstrated that the Czech internet still has its best years ahead.
