How can I delete my personal information in PayU?

If you have used PayU as your payment processor, we will delete your personal information except if we have to keep under law.  It means that we may not able to meet your request immediately. Why is this the case? While providing payment services, PayU acts as payment institution and is obliged to store your personal information for certain period of time as required by the laws on the prevention of the use of the financial system for the purposes of money laundering and financing of terrorism.

I do not want to receive further marketing communication from PayU.

We do our best to make our marketing communication interesting for you. However, if you do not want to receive it anymore, you can unsubscribe by clicking the link included in any such marketing communication. If you cannot find it, please contact us using this contact form 

How did PayU get my personal information?

We collect personal information or: 

 

  • directly from you e.g. when you contact us to get an offer or when you submit support request or you subscribe for newsletter. We may also collect you personal information directly from you when you apply for credit via PayU credit intermediary services; or 
  • we may receive your personal information from third parties e.g. from the merchants or operators of marketplaces where you have made a purchase and you have decided to make a payment for their goods or services with the use of PayU service.

Why PayU sends me emails with the status of the payment?

We are obliged by the laws on payment services to provide you with certain information regarding processed payment. We do our best that this information reaches you out as fast as possible and is as clear as possible. It is being sent for the email address used by you while purchasing the product or the service from the operator of the online shop that has signed relevant agreement with PayU.  

The email with the status of the payment cannot be the basis for demanding from you any additional payment.
